Outline of the society


We look at how medical care and health information management should be and build the “foundation of trust in medical care.”

We have built an open system in which health information managers as well physicians, nurses, and a wide range of other medical care professionals can participate.

Milestones
1975: Year of establishment
1981: Registered as a research organization of the Science Council of Japan
2003: Launch of the lifelong education seminars
2005: Launch of the HIM Supervisor certification system

Activities
-Research on medical record management and health information management
-Organization of scientific conferences, general assemblies, lectures, exhibitions, etc.
-Publication of journals, etc.
-Facilitation of research by members and promotion of friendship among members
-Lifelong education of health information managers (medical record managers) and certification of HIM Supervisors
-Other projects necessary for achievement of the Society’s goals
