 Change of our organization’s name
April 2009
|
As from this April, we are changing the name of our Society from Japan Society of Medical Record Administration to a new name, Japan Society of Health Information Management.
In 1996, the title of medical record administrator, which was given to those medical record staff trained by Japan Hospital Association, was changed to the title of health information manager. In light of the current trends where our work is changing from management of medical records to management of health information, we decided to change the name of our Society.
It is our intention as a scientific organization to strive even further in doing work that truly befits our new name. We sincerely ask for your continued support and guidance.
